Despite the recent hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, the Start of a New Year is a great time for anyone considering, or in the early stages of, starting their own business to think about the fairly immediate future. Take this New Year opportunity to daydream, and imagine what is possible for the 12 months ahead, then translate the results into something realistically achievable.
Procrastination – the art of talking about doing things but never actually getting around to making anything happen.
There is No Better Time Than Right Now To Be Happy …
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another.
Then we are frustrated that the kids aren’t old enough, and we’ll be more content when they are.
After that, we’re frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with, we will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage.
We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our partner gets his or her act together when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice holiday, when we retire.
The truth is, there’s no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?
Your life will always be filled with challenges.
It’s best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.
A quote to help you:
“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin – real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”
This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.
So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time…and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you’ve had a drink….
NO BETTER TIME THAN RIGHT NOW TO BE HAPPY.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
Work like you don’t need money,
Love like you’ve never been hurt,
And dance like no one’s watching.
Have an Amazing “Happy” Week Everyone 🙂
When you think about How to Start your Own Business While Employed, it can be an exciting thought. You can be your own boss, set your own goals, and have more freedom than you ever will enjoy as an employee.
Of course, to start a business does not always have to be about freedom and autonomy. Some people have really big ideas that can bring positive changes.
However, no matter what your reason behind a startup business is, it is not an easy step, despite being an exciting prospect. Your idea can be great and have real potential to work, but there are so many other factors that come into play. The most important aspect is the capital required for a startup business. Later, you will need more finances, a place to work from, hiring employees, buying equipment, handle long legalities, and more.
Now, imagine the same scenario when you are already employed. It is possible you need that day job to keep running your lifestyle in a normal way and have a source of finance. Maybe you will go full time with your startup business later but right now you need it. But with such a situation, it becomes even harder to see the possibility of your own business. Of course, you will see the need for time. There will be questions like what do I do first and will I be able to leave my day job at some point.
Chasing Your Dreams
From personal experience, it is not as much as the business world hurdles that can make startup business a difficult prospect. In fact, it is the people around you that will discourage you from taking this step. They are right to some extent. When you are just beginning in the real world or you have a family, you need stability in life. A good job at a good corporate company will set you up. Moreover, it is these jobs that actually provide you with the training and experience, which will come in handy if you ever start a business.
However, in the end, you will remain unsatisfied unless you fulfil your dreams. It was the same for me. I had multiple good jobs but I always had this urge that I should have my own venture. It just never went away.
I believe that your determination can take you ahead despite the hurdles you will experience. I will be honest with you. When I was thinking of how to start a business, I knew there will be problems. And there were. It took some time to get everything on track but eventually things start to work out. I think the fact that I was determined to achieve my dreams is one important factor that played into my success.
How to Start a Business While Employed
If you are already employed and looking for an opportunity on how to start a business while employed, then you must prepare for facing possible problems.
Your first step is to decide your plan about the job you are currently working. Do you plan to keep it or leave at some point in the future as your own startup business starts to flourish? Most likely, you will leave the job if your business becomes successful and you are earning well through it.
You really need to think about managing the two together. This can greatly depend on your commitment. Your commitment towards the startup involves making your dreams come true. On the other hand, you can have varying reasons to why you want to jeep your current job. Always keep these reasons in the forefront of your mind so you can save your determination for it.
Be prepared to be constantly working. This is even true for those people who are starting a business without any existing employment. So when you are handling two jobs, you don’t have too much free time. What you need to remember is that this will pay off. Mostly it pays off with the satisfaction that you are doing what you have always wanted to do.
Talking about doing what you want, you must ensure that there is a market for the startup. Many failed entrepreneurs have reported the lack of market need for their product or service as the number one reason for failure.
It is not about ditching your idea completely just because you can’t validate it. If you have entrepreneurial thinking, you can twist your initial ideas and develop products or services that have value creation ability for the customers.
How Can I Help You?
I have had personal experience with the desire to have my own business and making it finally possible. It was never easy. I was discouraged in the beginning and had to find a corporate job; I don’t regret doing the jobs. They were helpful in training me for the business industry. However, at one point, I was tired of these jobs and finally did something on my own. My property business took some time to fly but it did happen. After a while, I realised that I will get more satisfaction from helping people start a business.
Whether you are looking to simply start a business or startup while employed, I can help you using my experience of the same journey. Apart from that, I was always interested in launching a business. My interest has allowed me to learn a lot and I can now impart this knowledge to support others.
I am delighted to offer a low cost subscription to my e-book and video series so that more and more people interested in startup business can realise that it is possible despite the difficulties. If you think the subscription will help you, it can be purchased here >> CLICK HERE
I firmly believe that you can change your life by chasing and realising your dreams. If you have had a dream for a long time, don’t give up on it because it will disrupt your stable life. The disruption can be handled and eliminated but the dissatisfaction of not doing what you always wanted will stay with you.
