Composite Production Development Engineer with Existing Experience

We are looking to recruit a Production Development Engineer with experience of working with composites in either an aerospace or automotive field. Prior experience with braiding, filament winding or any automated fibre placement processes would be advantageous, as would experience with thermoplastic matrices, although not necessary.
This is an exciting role, reporting to and supporting the senior engineer, but would grow quickly as the company expands, with the opportunity to tailor the role to your career ambitions.
It would be advantageous to have experience of:
FEA Analysis
Design of Experiments
Composite design and testing

Development and support of manufacturing processes
Design and development of manufacturing tooling
Development of quality management system and processes towards ISO 9001 and IATF16949, including producing SOP’s and job sheets
Production feasibility studies, both practical and theoretical
Supporting the development of volume cost models using data gleaned from production metrics and analysis
Supplier management
Supporting business development activities
Project management/production planning
A BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar or equivalent qualifications/experience
Experience of manufacturing advanced composite products
Practical engineering skills
Good personal time management
Good interpersonal skills
Experience with CAD programmes such as Solid Edge or Solidworks
Proven analysis skills
Self-motivation, as you will often be expected to work independently
